ABOUT MIRA.

Mira was born in India and came in to the US at the age of 7. She grew up in Iowa and did her schooling there. She went back to India for college and completed her degree in Math and Physics and then post graduated in Fashion Design from the prestigious SNDT University in Mumbai. 

Mira has had an extensive career in the fashion industry that commenced with being a department manager at Von Maur progressing to the ladieswear buyer for them. She went on to work as Technical Designer for Victorias Secret before managing the position of Technical Design and Quality Manager for K-Mart HQ.

Subsequent to this, Mira launched her own company in 2006, that was christened "Chrysalis Fashions", that propagated a message to the genesis of the young generation - "Emerge the beautiful you".  This specialized boutique and its creations revolutionized an unprecedented and unique integration of Indo-Western clothing. 

Mira's innovative and creative capability was quickly scouted by a German technical textile company that hired her as a Creative Consultant. She went on to develop creative concepts with their product lines with companies such as Lululemon, Spanx, Adidas, Express, Kontoor Brands (Lee / Wrangler), J Crew, Kohls and others.

Mira was also invited as a special invitee and presenter at the Toronto convention of the IACDE (International Association of Clothing Designers & Executives). She presented the unique perspective of the cultural fusion in tailored garments encompassing models donning her creations, to an international audience consisting of fashion designers from around the world.

Mira's parents live in Iowa and has a younger brother living in California. She is married with four children, Avinash (20), Akash (18), Ashiyana and Avanni (twins - 15) and two dogs Rocky and Milo
